ACID TEST FOR IMPLEMENTING EVIDENCE-BASED TREATMENT
This major US study addressed what many see as the key issue in advancing evidence-based practice -
not identifying those practices, but getting them implemented in the real world by commissioners and
services. It did so in what the researchers saw as best-case scenario sites; if implementation still
proved difficult, it would be even more so without the support offered by the research project and
in less promising jurisdictions.
