Tate Gallery - Database Support Manager - Reference TG0400

The aim of Tate is to increase public awareness, understanding and enjoyment of British art from the 16th century to the present day, and of international modern and contemporary at. Behind the scenes, our Information Systems (IS) team deliver vital systems and information management services to over 800 Gallery staff on five sites, as well as supporting our website at www.tate.org.uk. It’s here that we need your skills and expertise.
As Database Support Manager, you’ll get involved in support and development activities for a variety of databases, including our Relationship Management System (RMS) and eBulletins system Silverpop, as well as for the Tate Intranet. Providing second line support, producing high quality reports, developing and maintaining system admin procedures and system configurations and managing mini-development projects – all and more are aspects of a role that’s significant in the continuing advancement of our IS systems.
Experienced in 1st and 2nd line applications support, you also have a very good understanding of relational database design concepts. We’ll also be looking for in-depth knowledge of SQL Queries and Report Writing and excellent problem solving skills. Adept at providing database support and with a flair for producing good quality planning and technical documentation, you’re well-organised and have the communication skills it takes to work confidently with people at all levels. Above all, however, it’s your real enthusiasm and ability to work flexibly within a small but highly professional IS team that will see you thrive.
