As suspected, the information I set out in the table was a mess. I've
set it out in an easier format and added some information
(misinformation?) about practice in London.
North West. Evidence submitted annually for all criteria. Up to five
pieces of evidence per criterion. Evidence should be relevant to
previous twelve months. Annual visit to each service.
Yorks and Humber. Evidence submitted for all criteria in 2012 for the
first time.
East of England. At least two pieces of evidence submitted annually for
each and every criterion.
South East Coast. Evidence only examined in detail every third year.
(Not clear whether summaries will suffice for the other two years.)
Third year includes a deep dive visit...
North East. Evidence not required but may be requested. No visit.
West Midlands. Owing to file size problems evidence not submitted for
all criteria. (NW gets round this by providing a wiki to which services
upload evidence.) Some services just send selected evidence. Three
yearly rotation of visits.
East Midlands. Evidence submitted annually for all criteria, but
services can declare some criteria not applicable.
South Central. Evidence only submitted for 4-5 criteria each year.
London. (Hearsay evidence from secondary source.) Prefer a minimalist
approach with LQAF completed but only three pieces of evidence required
in total (NOT three per criterion). Also answer to HE accreditation
network.
