*Special Issue from Cambridge Journal of Regions, Economy and Society: Capitalism, ownership and place*
This issue investigates the degree to which ownership of productive and other assets matters, with a particular emphasis on place-that is, whether and how ownership affects localities, regions and nation states. Globalization has made cross-border takeovers and corporate ownership more common. Firms operating in one country are increasingly likely to originate from and be based in some other country. Does this matter for communities today?
