Mae'n swnio'n berffaith rhesymol i mi, Sian, a 'dw i ddim yn mynd i ddeffro
Bruce eto i ofyn iddo.
Mwydro:
Tybed pam "pigging"? Cofia gyfres o ddarlithoedd Hywel Wyn Owen ar enwau
lleoedd a'r syniad bod llawer o afonydd ag enwau fel "twrch" neu rhyw
anifail/peth sy'n gwthio trwyodd. Ceisiais ddarganfod cysylltiad rhwng
"pig" a "slush" trwy Gwgl, yn aflwyddiannus, ond des o hyd i eglurhad atgas
o'r term "slush fund": http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/slush-fund.html
Gyda llaw, wrth son am ddod o hyd i bethau, a welasoch erthygl yn y
"Casglwr" gan "Ann Corckett", efo'r geiriau "deuais o hyd" yn y frawddeg
gyntaf; ga i wadu ysgrifennu'r naill peth na'r llall? Cythraul y wasg!
Ann

Subject: ice pigging
Oes rhywun wedi dod ar draws hwn?
Dyma ddiffiniad:
Ice pigging is based on understanding and harnessing the benefits of the
complex science behind semi solids, in our case ice slurries. By producing a
specific form of ice slush, or pig, we have been able to take advantage of
its fluid properties to clean pipes in a revolutionary way that has never
been done before. This ice can be easily pumped, it flows, and it can fill
and adapt to even the most complex of pipe topographies. And yet once within
the pipe it behaves like a solid, providing greater shear and therefore
cleaning efficiency than a liquid.
