My interpretation of the catalogue was that they had a full set at
Colindale, but the Journal initially had a longer title, so that in the 19th
century it is catalogued under two earlier titles. Unfortunately Birmingham
Central Library is in the course of relocating to new premises and most of
its stack collections are not accessible until sometime next year.
Otherwise it would have been the answer to much of my problem.

Dear List,
Having used the Cornish Studies Library for the MJ I know they have a good
run. However has anyone managed to understand or get through the BL's
on-line catalogue to determine their holdings of the MJ? The scanned
descriptions they offer are mostly gobble-de-gook and probably about a third
of the pages I have downloaded as being relevant in my searches, have turned
out to be mis-scans and irrelevant. I have given up on this as it was
working out rather costly!
Regards,
Iain Wright
