Learning objects can reset their service for you to SSL if you ask them - we did this last week and the problem went away

Subject: SSL and Https, Mixed content and security warnings
Dear All
We are running into a lot of problems with our Blackboard where unsecure content is put onto a secure page.
Most browsers have a prompt asking if you want to show insecure content (we have issues with people saying no), in IE and Chrome this is a bit subtle so a lot of our users miss the prompt!
Our current biggest issue with this is that we have upgraded to the hosted Campus Pack (from Learning objects) and all of these are insecure AND open by default inside the Bb frames.
So Blackboard has 3 SSL settings, On everywhere, On selected bits, Off My current institution has SSL On Everywhere In a previous institution I did have it selectively enabled for a couple of years (and this worked ok but we did get a couple of people wondering why our login page was not secure (the login box WAS but you couldn't tell from the top url))
So what do you all do?
Are there any options apart from changing the SSL settings?
And if you do use selective SSL what bits do you enable?
Regards
Joseph
