Well, we have a home grown nfs like CVMFS here (though we are looking
at the official one (as in 'it's on my list')) and a home rolled
glexec distribution, so why not add an unoffical WN tarball ? Then
I've got the set.
On a more serious note: It's much cleaner (and much easier to argue
for) to install CVMFS somewhere else and just mount it on the WN than
'can I please put several repos dragging in everyone and their
grandma' on a shared or otherwise pristine cluster, so even if
NFS-CVMFS is allowed, that doesn't mean a non-tarball WN install would
be.
I really like the WN tarball installs, if something goes wrong,
rollback takes all of 30 s, they can get tested concurrently without
taking a machine or more out of the cluster, I could even have
different versions for different VOs if I so liked. Tarballs should be
the default....
cheers,
Daniela
