International Conference on Human Trafficking - Cardiff
21st November 2012
I write to invite you to a conference which BAWSO is organizing in
partnership with Gwent Police, Barnardos, Oxfam, AKIDWA and Welsh
Women’s Aid on 21st November, 2012 in response to the growing need to
raise public awareness and improve support for people who have been
trafficked in Wales.
It will seek to integrate European knowledge and provide a platform to
bring together case studies and best practices with important
contributions from EU policymakers, international organizations and
NGOs from across Europe. It will also facilitate policy discussion and
explore comprehensive and integrated solutions to fighting the
‘hidden’ crime of human trafficking.
The conference will be chaired by Chief Constable of Police Carmel
Napier and will include local and international expert speakers in
different areas including internal Human Trafficking.
