THE AGE OF THE GREAT GATSBY - Sunday 7th October 2012
Eric Knowles will lead this symposium on the 1920s, the era which has become synonymous with F Scott Fitzgerald’s novel ‘The Great Gatsby’. Speakers will follow the roots of the Jazz Age from the Great War’s monochrome scenes of mud and khaki, move on to the vivacious lifestyles of gay young things and the prevailing style of Art Deco and culminate in the Wall Street Crash which brought about huge change throughout the world, including Wedgwood’s Etruria factory.
