We have a non-profit research foundation here in the US that would be happy to have them. The Center for the Investigation of Native and Ancient Quarries studies the geology of mines and quarries all over the globe and has an ever growing geology library dealing with stratigraphy, tectonics, structure, mineralogy, petrology, etc. Postage is not an issue. If the owner can come up with a pound sterling value for the set, we can give him/her a receipt saying they made a donation to the Center for that amount. I don't know if that assists with tax deductions in the UK, but it is a big deal here stateside. Please feel free to pass on my e-mail address to the owner, if they are interested.
Many thanks,
Margaret Brewer-LaPorta

Subject: off-prints
Anyone know of a good home for two sets of off-prints (a few are photocopies) of papers relating to:
1)the Caledonides - oldest 1959 Harland then Soper, Dewey etc in the 60s & 70's 2)structure of SW England - oldest Richter, Zwart in 60's then Sanderson and others
There are about 30 in each set; I would expect return of postage - probably £3 or 4 for each set
