Dear all.
I saw this story on the BBC News iPhone app and because I felt it was
important, I've got up to share it with you:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-19466064.
Reading it has made me think more about the argument that is going on,
and is also present on this board. Why can't the Olympics and
Paralympics be combined, or at the very least, why can't we share the
opening and closing ceremonies?
But to further this subject, why can we not encourage the Deaf
community to rejoin the movement?, and secondly is there really still
a need for the Special Olympic Movement when they are catered for
within the Paralympics? Surely this would benefit Disability Sport in
the long run?
Becky.
