Dear Everyone,
The LSE Department of International Development has currently two vacancies,
which might interest CAPE people. Full details are here:
https://atsv7.wcn.co.uk/search_engine/jobs.cgi
One job is for the MPA program, which might typically call for someone
working in more applied political science (not necessarily quantitative).
The second is for a more general position, which might be for someone
trained in more general forms of social science (including e.g., politics,
anthropology, or sociology) if applied to International Development. The
details for this one mentions "the environment" as one potential field among
others. We would welcome someone from the CAPE field if they have (or are
very close to) having a completed PhD; evidence of publishing; and a
relevant connection to 'development'.
Both jobs are advertised at the Lecturer (ie assistant prof) level, but
there is a chance we can raise this to Senior Lecturer for the right
candidate.
The deadline for one job is Oct 9, the other Oct 10. (check!)
Please apply and distribute.
Best wishes, Tim
(Please note I can't add to the details in this message; if in doubt, just
apply)

International Development Lectureship in International Development

The Department of International Development is seeking a career-track
Lecturer who will start at LSE no later than 1 September 2013.
You will have a background in development studies or a cognate discipline

We are especially keen to attract people with research and teaching
experience in the fields of health, education, poverty, the environment,
