Annual ethnobotany lecture at Kew Gardens
Gary Martin speaks on "Medicinal plant trade, conservation and local
livelihoods in southern Morocco".
Tuesday 9 October 2012, 5pm
Jodrell Lecture Theatre (entry via Jodrell Gate, Kew Road, TW9 3DS). Close
to Kew Gardens and Kew Bridge stations.
Admission free and open to all, no ticket required.
After the lecture, we will move on to the nearby "Botanist on Kew Green"
for further discussions.
Dr Martin has been involved in conservation and ethnobotanical work for
over twenty-five years, and is also well-known as author of "Ethnobotany: a
methods manual". As Director of the Global Diversity Foundation, he has led
fieldwork in countries including Namibia, Mexico, Malaysia and Morocco.
