Professor of Medical Statistics and Clinical Trials
Salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience will be within the professorial range, minimum £55,908 per annum
Applications are invited for the above post based at the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit (NCTU), in the University of Nottingham. NCTU is a UK Clinical Research Collaboration registered Clinical Trials Unit with an exciting programme of national and international multicentre trials on a range of health topics. This is a new post which will expand our multidisciplinary team, and comes with a Senior Research Fellow post.
The successful candidate will be responsible for statistical and methodological leadership within the unit’s programme of trials and systematic reviews, for developing their own programme of methodological research relevant to clinical trials, and for attracting and supervising high quality postgraduate students.
Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent, experience in research council, major research charity, or HTA funded clinical trials, with an extensive track record of publication and of attracting external research funding. Experience in a commercial or regulatory environment would also be advantageous.
It is a condition of this post that satisfactory Enhanced disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.
This is a full-time, permanent post.
