Everybody likes to plug their own setup - at Liverpool we use:
* pxeboot/dhcp to get the system started in the first place
* kickstart to get filesystems, a network and a basic OS on the system
* puppet to get the machine customized depending on grid node type
* yaim to configure the node type in the "yaim standard manner", if I
can call it that
* No automatic yum updates, anywhere
* Most subsequent puppet updates under our control (so we always know
what's what)
That works for us (most of the time, fingers crossed while saying so).
