Just to be clear, I don't imagine that the Clam Shack is a "responsible"
source but it is evidence of something and therefore might be cited with
proper care. eg:
"A number of informal commentators (eg Clam Shack 2011) have asserted
that there is a necessary relation between seafood and creative
thinking. However Zeke Conran and Ken Friedman, in a widely cited review
of recent work in experimental psychology, have concluded that the only
consistent factor augmenting creative thinking in maritime districts is
the presence of fried potatoes (Conran & Friedman 2012, 234)"
Well I'm sure you get the idea. Of course you could treat Clam Shack as
data and refer to it by a different means but I do like the way that
bibliographic references create order and ensure an audit trail.
