Job Description
POL is about to embark on one of the largest change programme in its history. One of the key challenges of the programme is to manage the complexity that 6000 changes entail. Accurate, timely data and analysis is a key requirement for the effective and efficient running of the Programme. There are a number of manual and semi automated processes involved in keeping the core data for the programme up-to-date.
The purpose of this role is to manage the processes required to keep our core data up to date. Tasks include; geo-coding of new branch locations, transferring Horizon files from the Fujitsu server to Local PCs, updating individual branch maps for the whole network, updating / cleaning data from multiple partners to support the Partner Strategy and running accessibility analysis to ensure the network conforms to government requirements Requirements
Manage and deploy the day to day processes to ensure that the Core Data is up to date and accurate, this involves downloading data from a range of systems including HRSAP, Credence and Horizon, testing data for consistency and integrity and backing up data as required
Ensure that new branch locations are accurately geo-coded (for mapping purposes), using a range of mapping applications including Mapinfo Professional and Google streetview
Provide standard efficiency / staffing analysis for Crown and Agency branches to a range of internal and external customers including multiple partners
Run the bulk mapping process on MapInfo to produce up-to-date maps for every branch in the network on a quarterly basis
Produce simple bespoke maps and branch modelling for internal customers including field teams and the stakeholder team
Run weekly analysis to test that the network conforms to the government access criteria

The Individual
Technical Skills / Expertise
Good understanding of the range of current and future Operating Models in the network
Good understanding of POL’s MI systems, including HR SAP, Credence & MDM
Some understanding of change processes in the Network including OBC
Basic understanding GIS systems with working knowledge of MapInfo Professional
Very good general computer literacy including knowledge of MS Access & Excel.

Salary range from £28,010 per annum
