Now if only here in the UK we could get their counterparts to say "I'm privatizing this part of the state because I've been a paid lobbyist for these firms for quite some time and they've promised I can go and work for them when I leave politics", rather than the usual "I'm privatizing this part of the state to bring in private sector efficiency", we could at least begin to have some kind of a realistic conversation about what's going on here..
