The appointment as Senior Lecturer involves research, teaching, and administrative duties. The holder of the appointment as Senior Lecturer shall mainly conduct research but also participate in teaching on the undergraduate and advanced levels at Linköping University.
Today, the research group conducts design research focusing on design methods, innovative situated interactive environments, prototyping under a service dominant logic, design of product-service systems and hybrid interactive artefacts. Among other aspects, the group is working with interactivity in combination with printed electronics, simulations in training for leadership in classrooms, ubiquitous computing in health-care and for well-being, and intelligent and multimodal user interfaces in, e.g., place-based augmented reality.
* Role for Senior Lecturer 1 (human-centered design):
The employee is expected to perform and develop excellent research in the meeting between design for interaction and services and human-centered product development and design. Possibilities to perform basic as well as applied research are given within established projects.
Teaching is part of the position, especially concerning human-centered design in interaction, service and product development. Courses and modules are given to graphic designers, cognitive science students, programmers, IT, computer and software engineers, and product developers.
Within these programs the employee is expected to direct and/or participate in courses and modules that focus on interaction- and/or industrial design, human-centered design, spatial interaction, hybrid interactive artefacts, affective design and evaluation, as well as experiential and aesthetical issues.
* Role for Senior Lecturer 2 (interaction design and programming):
The employee is expected to perform and develop excellent research in the meeting between design for interaction, technology development and programming. Possibilities to perform basic as well as applied research are given within established research projects.
Teaching is part of the position, especially concerning programming aspects of interaction design and user experience, and the development of high-quality dynamic computer based prototypes. Courses and modules are given to graphic designers, cognitive science students, programmers, IT, computer and software engineers, and product developers.
Within these programs the employee is expected to direct and/or participate in courses and modules that focuses on design methods, tools for prototyping, programming of mobile platforms, web and interaction programming, quality of interactive and graphic expressions, advanced interaction technology and human-computer interaction.
