The University of Edinburgh is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Science, Technology and Innovation Studies (STIS), and specifically in the area of environmental sustainability and energy technology.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop innovative research and teaching initiatives in an expanding field of study. The University of Edinburgh is an international leader in energy technology research, and members of STIS collaborate with colleagues elsewhere in the School of Social and Political Sciences, the School of Geosciences and the School of Engineering (including the UK Energy Research Centre), who contribute to an active Energy and STS group. We envisage significant expansion of STIS activities in this area, and we seek to appoint an energetic and ambitious STS scholar who will play a leadershp role in developing these activities.
The position is available on an open-ended basis from 1st November 2012, on salary scale UE09: £46,846-£52,706.
The deadline for applications is 23 August 2012.
