Seeds of Change Outreach Officer (part-time 17.5 hours per week)
We are looking for an Outreach Officer to coordinate and deliver a
programme of primary school and community group outreach activities as part
of the Seeds of Change project. This will include: working closely with 10
partner schools and 5 community groups to develop ballast seed gardens,
organising academic and student led workshops in at least 20 schools and
community groups, organising artist led sessions in 10 schools and 10
school trips to the Bristol harbourside.
Other responsibilities will include: helping to devise a set of resources
for schools; promoting the project using print, online and social media;
liaising with student volunteers, schools and community groups; reporting
to the Steering Group and maintaining the budget.
You should have proven experience in a relevant (primary school teaching,
community liaison or public engagement) role, significant experience of
working with hard to reach groups and proven project management experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral), and an
ability to problem solve (to help schools and community groups to overcome
any challenges they might face) are key elements of this role.
Grade: Grade H Salary : £26,779 - £30,122 (pro rata)
