Dear all
The University for Creative Arts has started a project to make accessible and promote their archives and special collections. The University for Creative Arts is made up of five campuses, Maidstone, Farnham, Rochester, Canterbury, and Epsom, and has been providing a specialised curriculum in creative arts for students since Victorian times.
This project includes cataloguing of their institutional university archives, showing, alongside other areas, the changing nature of creative arts, and the Tessa Boffin Archive, a prominent photographer specialising in LGBT issues in the 1980s. The project will also include development of policies including preservation, collection, and appraisal policies, and development of an Archives and Special Collections section of the university's website.
Progress of this project can be followed with UCA Archive's blog, acccessed here http://ucaarchives.wordpress.com/
