I have received a few direct enquiries recently about WebPA 2 and have
suggested they contact this list for an update. But then I thought that
perhaps I should do so!
As per my email to this list in April, and as discussed at the last SIG
meeting in May (see notes at
http://webpaproject.lboro.ac.uk/?q=node/487), the code for version 2 is
currently with the WebPA project team for testing, documentation and
release. Please could someone from the team provide an update on how
this is progressing?
Does the recent release of WebPA 1.1.0.1 suggest that the release of
WebPA 2 is still some way off?
The JISC-funded ceLTIc:sharing project (www.celtic-project.org) is
providing a hosted version of WebPA 2 (to evaluate the use of LTI as a
mechanism for delivering shared services) and it would be nice to be
using the officially supported release.
Once WebPA 2 does become available, users may be interested in trying
out the IMS Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) connector which can
now be found documented at:
http://www.spvsoftwareproducts.com/php/webpa-lti/
and allows WebPA 2 to be integrated with any LTI-compliant VLE (which is
most).
Thanks,
Stephen
