BBSRC Bioenergy Dialogue Coordinator Band D – Salary £26,610 - £29,566
BBSRC is embarking on a new, exciting and ambitious public dialogue project – do you have the enthusiasm and expertise to drive it forward?
The BBSRC Bioenergy Dialogue will develop an ongoing, informed discussion between BBSRC, key partners, the research community and members of the public around bioenergy research and we are looking for an individual to coordinate the work. Bioenergy is an area of research that presents many opportunities and options that could contribute significantly to meeting the challenge of replacing fossil fuels with sustainable energy. It will be important that the field remains responsive to public needs and concerns as the science develops. So BBSRC has developed an innovative, distributed and flexible dialogue strategy.
You will be responsible for encouraging and supporting researchers, institutes and special interest and community groups to carry out dialogue events; devising and implementing evaluation processes for collecting and analysing feedback from dialogue events; and identifying, planning and carrying out dialogue events and activities.
You will have experience of delivering and evaluating public dialogue and engagement activities. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a demonstrable ability to communicate at all levels and with a variety of audiences and exceptional organisational abilities.
