Stop Press! The University of Exeter Forum Conference
Friday 7th September 2012
Dear Colleague,
The University of Exeter is delighted to announce that it will be holding its inaugural Forum Conference on Friday 7th September 2012.
Higher Education is experiencing dramatic and transformational change that puts the student experience at the very top of university priorities. In a £9K fee environment, students will expect and demand more from universities. Alongside core academic commitments on contact hours and feedback, employability services are essential. Applicants will make critical comparisons between university facilities and as customers of university services students will be right to expect integrated services working to the highest standards of customer service excellence.
The £48m Forum development at the University of Exeter is a world class student experience building, conceived and designed to inspire students and to exceed their expectations of facilities and services.
The Forum is stunning in its architecture and brings together an extended and refurbished Library, a Student Services Centre incorporating 11 professional support services and the Students Guild Advice Unit. It has a 400-seat, state-of-the-art auditorium, twelve seminar rooms, two technology-rich learning labs and throughout the double height Street plenty of informal study space proximate to the Market Place shop, Costa Coffee and NatWest bank.
The Forum Conference 2012 will provide an insight to the Forum journey - from the vision to go live. The programme is designed to be of interest to a wide range of staff from across HE institutions, particularly those considering super convergence and integration of support services and for all those considering student experience infrastructure investments.
The programme will cover a diverse range of topics from learning space innovation, customer service excellence and the Student Information Desk to the construction journey, governance and mitigation management.
Delegate fees are as low as £80 per person for groups of 4 or more - and £100 per person for individuals. More information, and our online booking office can be found at: http://www.exeter.ac.uk/forum/conference/.
We look forward to welcoming you to Exeter.
Best Wishes,
Michele
