"Sarcoidosis may present for the first time with ocular manifestations, usually uveitis and we have always include serum ACE in our uveitis screen. Most uveitis patients with unusual features eg severe, bilateral disease, granulomatous features etc will have a uveitis screen requested, so I expect there will have been a steady level of requests"
Thus spake the consultant opthalmologist.
Does the collective think that ACE requesting in this situation is useful? Is there evidence available?
