CADist-Check test has been updated to new version and now it takes CA distribution version directly from http://egi-igtf.ndpf.info/distribution/egi/current/release.xml , so it is very unlikely that we will see that problem with SAM-Nagios again.
As for lcg-CA update is concerned, we have a mix strategy where WN's are updated automatically but other services are updated manually. We are thinking of running cron job every night to check lcg-CA update.

Subject: lcg-CA updates manual/semi manual/automatic?
I'd like to understand how people update their lcg-CA. At the moment in
Manchester the update is semi-automatic in the sense that cfengine does
it but the version is fixed. The reason we did it like this was because
automatic updates done too soon generated alerts from the SAM/nagios
tests because the tests misinterpreted the update as wrong version.
However it still requires someone to be there and do it and to pay
attention to the broadcasts. Has the behaviour of the tests changed? Are
people doing it automatically?
