Join Ali Pretty on a FREE 100 mile creative and interactive walk around Wiltshire’s White Horses
Ali Pretty has been working in collaboration with the Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival to curate a breathtaking seven-day, 100-mile creative walk that encompasses the eight white chalk horses and magical sites of the Wiltshire landscape.
The walk begins on 24 June and culminates on 30 June at Alton Barnes and Devizes, where the White Horses will be beautifully lit in the evening and visible for miles around. Ali and the Salisbury Festival have invited artists, writers, musicians, walking farmers and environmentalists to highlight different stages of the walk and encourage conversation inspired by the experience.
Together, Ali and the Salisbury Festival are inviting participants to join in for all or part of the seven-day journey. Participants are encouraged to document their experience through photography, social media and other artistic expression along the way. Images, footage and conversation will be uploaded into a living archive online, to be enjoyed by a variety of audiences and inform future celebratory work around the theme of Wiltshire’s White Horses.
