Urban colleagues,
The Urban Research Program (URP) at Griffith University is interested to
receive expressions of interest from urban scholars who may be potential
applicants to the Australian Research Council's (ARC) 'Future Fellowship'
scheme.
The Future Fellowship scheme targets very high performing mid-career
researchers (5 to 15 years post PhD) and provides for a research Fellowship
of four years duration with attractive salary level and substantial further
research support, plus potential for a continuing academic role following
the fellowship. Future Fellowships are highly sought after such that only
those who might be considered among the most productive 20 percent of peers
at their career point, measured by publication outputs and granting
success, would be competitive.
The URP hosts one of Australia's largest concentrations of urban
researchers which was ranked first-equal nationally in the Australian
Government's Excellence in Research evaluation in 2011. Full details of the
URP's areas of research activity are provided here: www.griffith.edu.au/urp/
Griffith University is located in South East Queensland which is one of
Australia's fastest growing urban regions, and has campuses in Brisbane and
the Gold Coast.
The application process involves an EOI to the Griffith Research Office,
due on 25 June, 2012. Approved applicants would then proceed to full
application to the ARC in November 2012. The EOI requirements and proforma
are provided here: http://goo.gl/3d2g0
Prospective applicants are asked to contact me in the first instance.
Regards,
- Jago Dodson
