I am not sure that telling will work, as it could go a lot deeper than
that. I noticed a few years ago that I subconciously found it much harder
to take female collegues seriously on days that they were wearing makeup
than on days they weren't. This may just be that they didn't look like the
same person, but it did strike me that a lot of makeup is copying sexually
interested signals - red lips, big dark eyes etc. So it may be
unsurprising that my subconcious was on some level treating them
differently.
I am certainly not saying don't wear make up, but maybe women should be
aware that it is something that is designed to manipulate their image
in other's subconciouses, and that these manipulations may have downsides
as well as upsides.
I don't know if this observation make me a bad person, and it might be
just because all the women I know very rarely wear makeup, but there it
is.
