Issues you may wish to discuss/ look at are to do with the following:
1. workload, - is the work physically/ mentally demanding
2. shift patterns.....how are these arranged taking cognizance of
recovery times ..
3. work organisation .....how much control do they have over their work
tasks...so can they vary the pace of work
4. flexible working....can this be an option where the workers start and
finish times can be adjusted
5. health and well being....are there existing health conditions that
may impact on their performance
6. travel time ....to and from work ....can have an impact on
performance
there could be more to look at but these are the ones at top of my head
!!!!

Morning all
I'm looking for some phrasing, ideas regarding the aging work force.
Specifically I have seen 2 people recently who are working over the age
of 65 , in their opinion carrying out their normal role but manager has
referred due to concerns regarding their fitness for work i.e 'manager
thinks they are getting to old to do the job'.
I know it comes down to performance monitoring but want to give
managers that advice without making them bringing in the big guns and
stress these people totally and of course need to avoid having any age
discrimination issues.
