As change is one of the primary stressors for the HSE standards a lot of health related effects comes from the stress literature.
There is also some good stuff on positive psychology and change as well. If you go to Pub Med and put 'change' and 'health' in as search terms I am sure you will get loads. Also 'survivor stress' (post change) check 'Stormont Study' on Northern Ireland civil servants . A lot of the Whitehall 11 studies are about control and demand health issues but there may be someone who linked health to change in their research on this group as well.
Critque of most studies on this issue - they are mainly cross sectional and not enough of them are longitutidinal. Beaumont and some Australian Centre for Mental health research 2011 has linked poor psychological jobs (job strain, change and perception of unfair pay and conditions) with worse mental health than unemployment and Marmot 2010 says that unemployment is a predicator of depression so 'work is good for you'.
Having just done my year 2 MSc exam on Wednesday re Mental health at work, which included studying organisational change, my head is full of Kotter, Lewin, Schien, Prochaska yadda yadda yadda but I cannot remember so much about the effects on health.
Aaarrrgghhhh, head too full of facts - cannot compute work issues.........
