What the article is saying is that the effects of night working on SVT
are not sufficiently researched to provide robust evidence but it is
possible that there maybe some effect on exacerbation of SVT due to
increased night working activity. Need to know this employee's
symptoms/severity/current treatment/job demands/and a lot of other
information to be more specific. Most SVT is exacerbated by
alcohol/stress/smoking and the treatment can be cessation of those
activities, in other words, self management but acute and prolonged
episodes of SVT can require chemical or medical
cardioversion(beta-blockers), then if that's not successful, electrical
cardioversion (DC) and surgical catheter ablation if the aforementioned
are not effective.
