Carr, you made a very good point about unrealistic targets, thanks for the link: I'll also take all the other advice and suggestions on board. So helpful everyone, thank you.
Thankfully I make sure and get out for my break, plus there is an unceremonious dumping of work on the "pending" shelf at home time. I'm strict about this - life's too short to sit at the desk long past home time.
It's a challenge certainly as a "one-man show", when a fair proportion of the work is reactive / unscheduled with everything that happens also needing to be documented of course. I'm always looking for ways to cut down on unnecessary paperwork and improve the way things flow - it's a major work in progress!
