I am new to this list but the wealth of daily information has already been very useful - many thanks. I wanted to let you know about an ongoing project at the Centre for Law, Justice and Journalism, City University London, which involves lawyers, academics and journalists. Details are posted below. Thoughts, questions, ideas welcomed.
Thank you very much.

The Centre for Law, Justice and Journalism is pleased to announce that our latest collection of working papers, 'Justice Wide Open' has now been published. It is part of our project 'Open Justice in the Digital Era'. Authors include Lord Neuberger, Professor Ian Cram, Dr Lawrence McNamara, Geoffrey Robertson QC, Hugh Tomlinson QC, Heather Brooke, Mike Dodd and many others.
We will distribute a limited number in print to law firms, members of the judiciary and government, but the individual chapters are also available to download online - via Scribd. Please find the relevant links on our blog:

Please visit the CLJJ website for further updates on this project:

We hope these papers initiate a discussion about an increasingly open and digitised approach to the dissemination of legal information and knowledge.
Our next step is to form some firmer recommendations for the MoJ, judiciary and other relevant bodies. If you would like to be involved in this stage of the process, please contact me - via [log in to unmask] We would also welcomed more general comments and ideas about the papers and this project.
Many thanks. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Co-ordinator of the 'Open Justice in the Digital Era' project and editor of 'Justice Wide Open'
