I wonder if you may be able to help me please?
I have heard somewhere (how many enquiries start with that?!) that there is a requirement for an institution to have a library in order to a) get HE funding and/or b) become a Chartered/professional body.
Would any of those of you in academic or professional body libraries perhaps be able to put me straight on this please? If it is written in HEFCE policy or hiding on the Privy Council site (or in statute), I would be very grateful if you could point me in the right direction. This would be very convenient for me in arguing for our library, but I fear I may be mistaken?
