Supporting Diverse Student Populations Lanchester Library, Coventry University
22nd August 2012, 10.30a.m. - 4.00 p.m.
Members £75
Non members £100
On 22nd August ALISS (Association of Librarians and Information Professionals in the Social Sciences) will be holding a one day conference on the topical issue of supporting diverse student populations. With the expansion of higher education. increasing numbers of 'non-traditional' students are entering the higher education sector and librarians must be willing and prepared to meet their many needs. This one day conference aims to showcase a number of interesting approaches and projects from UK university libraries. It interprets diversity in the widest sense to include: part time and distance learners, international students, students with disabilities and those from backgrounds who are unused to the demands of British higher education.
