Dear Listserv,
I am doing a study in which I want to understand the effect of task related functional connectivity between two regions on the response to task in one of those regions. In order to determine this, I calculated parameter estimates for response to task across the whole brain.
I then did the PPI analysis as per Jill O'Reilly's website.
I then used a mask to extract the mean parameter estimate of PPI in one of the regions (let's say connectivity between DRN and amygdala) and used a mask to extract mean parameter estimate of response to task in a region (let's say amygdala)
I then looked at the correlation between these two.
My interpretation is that this tells me the relationship between connectivity between the two areas and response to task in one of the areas.
Does anyone see a problem with this approach?
Does anyone know if a better approach to this issue?
Best,
Noam
