Dear colleagues
EThOS is having a workshop at the Open Repositories 2012 Conference http://or2012ethos-eorg.eventbrite.com/ in Edinburgh on 10 July - titled "EThOS Interoperability: opportunities and challenges".
As the title suggests, we'll be focusing on:
* Interoperability & OAI-PMH
* Harvesting in both directions
* The EThOS Downloader
* Repository set-up
* Any other technical & metadata sharing elements as guided by yourselves.
We're delighted that John Salter, Sebastian Palucha and Chris Awre (Leeds, Durham, Hull respectively) will tell us about the tools that they've developed to help their IRs "play nicely" with EThOS. (See for example, John's work at http://wiki.eprints.org/w/Files/EThOS_webservice_download_tool).
But we also want you to tell us what EThOS issues are on your mind. What technical processes do you need more help on? What do you think are the development priorities we should be focusing our energies on? Have you also developed something to share with others?
Regardless of whether you'll be at OR2012, please respond to a very short survey to contribute questions and challenges (and maybe some solutions) to discuss in Edinburgh.

In case you'd rather send us an email response, just let us know and we'll send the questions directly to the listserv.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, and of course, we'll report back fully after the event.
With best wishes
Sara
