Note too the relatively new ISO standard-in-the-making, ISNI, the
International Standard Name Identifier, a 16-digit number intended for
"Public Identities" modern through ancient, historical and fictitious. The
project started with VIAF's 2011 database as a foundation and went on from
there to include 15 other groups.
