Full-time, one-year fixed-term contract – maternity cover
The largest and most comprehensive resource in Britain for research and information on all aspects of architecture, the RIBA British Architectural Library (BAL) brings together collections of close to four million items.
We are seeking a talented individual with the relevant experience and skills to continue shaping and implementing a successful and sustainable education programme.
Applicants will have a strong track record of developing, delivering and evaluating outreach programmes within a library, museum or gallery context. Based at the RIBA headquarters at 66 Portland Place, you will have a proven interest in architecture, and/or its history. With substantial experience of creating authoritative and engaging web and print resources, you will be well-placed to exploit the Library’s extensive collections of books, archives, drawings and photographs for the benefit of diverse audiences, including Further and Higher Education.
A background in teaching at higher or further education levels, or comparable experience, will be advantageous.
This is a fixed-term maternity cover position from 3 September 2012 to 30 September 2013.
