Hello All,
I have recently performed an experiment to investigate the relative
attractiveness of different environmental features. Each participant
was presented with 6 pairs of images (each pair shown twice - 12
trials), and asked which of each pair was the most attractive.
The features under comparison were 1. Vegetation vs 2. Points of
interest vs 3. Architecture Each feature was compared against the
others under 2 separate conditions 1. Low complexity and 2. High
complexity
I have calculated 2 mean rankings for each feature (1. Ranking for low
complexity and 2. Ranking for high complexity).
I have 2 questions:
1. Is it valid to combine these mean rankings to give an overall rank
for how vegetation, points of interest and architecture affect
attractiveness?
2. Which statistical test would be most appropriate to test whether
the features differ in their ranking of attractiveness?
Many thanks
Sarah
