We have always practised disposing of Legal Service's conveyancing (acquisition and disposal) files 12 years after closure and this practice has proved to work well. However our Head of Corporate Property is of the view that all files relating to conveyancing should be retained until 12 years after disposal and only if the property does not adjoin council owned land or property.
Our retention guidelines are based on the LGCS retention and I was wondering if any other authority has veered from practising D - 12 years for either Legal Services' or Property Services' acquisition or disposal files?
Many thanks/Llawer o ddiolch
