Doug, thanks for the larger list, most appreciated. Need to check out
the recent UK writings.
In Australia the long poem seems to be what in many various ways is
called a verse novel, which is not a genre. Gather together all the
verse novels published here in the last 40 odd years and each writer and
reader would have a different idea as to what is a verse novel. I was
wondering if I could get away with calling, Barbecue, which combines
line verse and still life photos, a verse novel. Using Bakhtin, I may
but many would be left yet again scratching there heads.... maybe I
should? Barbecue; another verse novel.
