Not sure what you mean, when saying the BBC have ignored 'opt in'. If readers click Continue on the BBC's cookie tab they appear to be giving 'implied consent', which meets the ICO expectations. To me that seems to be opt in by stealth, but it's acceptable!
The BBC's stance on GA is interesting; it might imply they consider implied consent enough legal coverage to allow them to carry on with GA; anecdotal evidence elsewhere suggests this may be the case. What do you think?
