Hello all,
I would like to update you on the progress of Reach for the Stars - Afghanistan.
We have received an amazing response during our launch period, including numerous generous donations.
We have also been featured in international media including:
BBC News Online & Radio, BBC Persian, BBC World Service, Hawaii' Public Radio, Sky & Telescope Magazine, to name but a few.
We have recently sent a delivery of Solar Viewers to the Afghanistan Astronomical Association that will be distributed to school children for a special transit of Venus event taking place on mountains above the capital city of Kabul.
The project is moving along, however we need more support. Right now we need more donations to ensure the projects success.
Please help us by spreading the word throughout the community; tell your colleagues, friends and neighbours - make a difference by helping us help the children of Afghanistan discover the wonder and beauty of the universe, and a glimpse of an education and future beyond bullets, bombs and blood.
Thank you for your time and very best wishes to you all,
Christopher Phillips - Project Manager
