Dear Jack and all,
Just as thoughts were emerging for me about improving my use of social media to "spread and evolve explanations of educational influences", you sent your thoughts on improving your use of social media.
As a result of my action-reflection cycle to improve my practice (while writing my masters) I have implemented two projects that I believe are a result of taking action to actualise the improvement of my practice. I want to make more use of social media to "spread and evolve" these two projetcs.
The first outcome is a blog
http://cyclesoftransition.wordpress.com/
My blog is firstly aimed at the emerging entrepreneurs whom I coach and mentor. Secondly a place to record information of my work, research articles etc for other scholars to access.
The next outcome is an emerging project called "I-ADD" which is "Ignite-Art and Design Development". The project is about being more actively involved in product development, marketing and business practice for the entrepreneurs I coach/mentor. I think this is connected to social entrepreneurship. (I still have to read more about it to understand it).
I want to make use of facebook, twitter, Linked-in in order to allow emerging entrepreneurs to have faster access to my business advice on the blog posts and to record the process of I-ADD.
So, I am embarking on improving my use of social media. I have decided to begin by improving the use of my blog by sending new posts to my facebook page and learning how to have new posts sent by email to people who read my blog. Once I consolidate my learning, I will move onto setting up a Linked in group and other social media.
But I also wonder if we have too many social media places we have to maintain is it not spreading our time and resources too much? I don't know yet, I have to try it and see.
Warm Regards
Bonnie Kaplan

Dear Marie (and all),
I want to improve my use of social media as you suggest:
"The next stage is to develop our use of social media such as Twitter, Google Hangouts, Facebook and Linkedin. Billy Barry for instance has set up a group on Linkedin Living-Leadership-Today-Transforming-Organizations, for us to join.
It would be great to hear what other members of the list are doing to spread and evolve explanations of educational influences cooperatively."
I like very much the way Pip has set out Pip's page at http://fergs.org/Pip/ with access to her doctorate and the interactive quality of an e-forum.
I've joined Billy's group and just left a response to the question, 'How would you elicit a dancer's living theory?' I'll also work at co-operative working and researching with the principles and values of the International Co-operative Alliance at http://www.actionresearch.net/writings/cooperative/cooperativevalues.pdf .
The latest issue of the Educational Journal of Living Theories should be published in full by the end of this coming week at
http://ejolts.net/current . It includes the following contributions from Billy, Jill (and others), Kevin and Sara. These are already accessible from this url.
Challenging the status quo meaning of educational quality: Introducing transformational quality (TQ) theory(c) (pp. 1-26)
William J. Barry
Transcending boundaries and borders: Constructing living theory through multidimensional inquiry (pp. 27-48)
Jill B. Farrell, Natasha A. Vernaza, Samuel S. Perkins, Jennie Lee Ricketts-Duncan, & Daniel J. Kimbar
Reflections from the margins on education and the culture of audit and performativity (pp. 49-66)
Kevin Mc Dermott
Formal English without tears: Rewriting the narrative of the 'low-level' learner (pp. 67-91)
Sara Salyers
Love Jack.
