Hi

Whilst I agree with what has been said about home visits really not being
part of OH remit, I wonder if there is one possible time when a home visit
may be required. A lot of workers are home-based now and could conceivably
require a work station assessment. I know that this should be organised
initially by their manager but occasionally OH still need to get involved.
Is this the sort of home visit anyone has been involved in? Are there any
arguments for and against doing home-based work station assessments?

However I do know of cases where home workers who live a long way from their
OH, have sent photos of their work area to OH, so along with a telephone
consultation, the assessment has effectively been remote.

Kind regards
Anna
