medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Hi,
I've been hunting all over the place for a reference/quote of a critique by Nicholas of Cusa to "superstitious" beliefs about saints such as Blaise, Catherine, etc., as found in the Golden Legend. A google search brings up a 2012 edition of the Golden Legend which appears to refer to the work in the introduction, but that part of the introduction is not among the pages available to read on line! Any help, especially in the form of a bibliographical reference, will be greatly appreciated!
Meg

In the diocese of Bath and Wells, Yatton, Croscombe, Bridgwater, and St.
John's Glastonbury all own legenda--with the saints unspecified. In St.
Margaret's Westminter, the parish has a printed life of St. Katherine
bequeathed by Caxton (a parishioner).
